First of all I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, somewhere to post my selections and reflect on them, whether they win or lose, it’s always good to look back on them.
Tomorrows meeting is at Downpatrick and there’s no better place for me to start this blog than Downpatrick. My local track, where I try to attend nearly every meeting possible. 2 meetings ago I picked one of my best ever winners here in the name of ‘Kilbrin Rocco’ trained by Mick Winters at a price of 40/1. Be great to get more of them at prices like that…
My first selection on the site will be ‘Jinxs Link’ in the 5:35 @ 12/1. Has previously run here once and run well to finish second where he hung badly in the run in and gave the race away to finish second by doing so, I’ll put that down to inexperience. He went on to run on the flat at Dundalk ridden by JJ Slevin where he ran a week later with JJ on board and won a handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan. Similar theme has happened on this instance where he has prepped with a run on the flat last week at Sligo and JJ is back on board and Jinx’s Link should be prepped for a big run.
